Leonardo Bellucci

PhD in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Florence.

Mr. Bellucci began his professional experience in 2002 in MPS Finance, where he took on the position of quantitative analyst.

In July 2008, he was appointed Head of the Quants Staff Unit of MPS Capital Services Banca per le Imprese S.p.A. and remained in this role until November 2009.

He joined BMPS at the end of 2009 as Head of the Risk Management Service Unit, in charge of developing advanced internal models for market and counterparty risks as well as financial controls on trading units. He served in this role until 2014, when he moved on to subsequent roles of responsibility within the Chief Risk Officer Division. 

Mr. Bellucci has been Chief Risk Officer since 12 March 2018. 

As Chief Risk Officer, he is responsible for verifying capital adequacy and liquidity and ensuring the suitability and effectiveness of the Group's risk management system.

On 5 July 2019, he was appointed Head of Anti-Money Laundering with the aim of ensuring that appropriate company procedures are in place to prevent and combat the violation of Anti-Money Laundering standards.

The Head of the Internal Validation Function reports to him directly.
