Vittorio Calvanico

Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from Yale University.
An Executive Manager of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. since 2001, Mr. Calvanico currently serves as Chief Safety Officer.
As Chief Operating Officer until February 2024, he was responsible for organisation, procurement and logistics, real estate, information security, information technology, operational services, outsourcing and strategic project monitoring.
Within the Montepaschi Group, he previously held the positions of Chief Program and Cost Officer, Deputy CFO - Head of Planning and Chief Data Officer, as well as Head of “Strategy, M&A and Equity Investments”, “CFO Division Staff Unit” (responsible for Extraordinary Transactions), “Monetary Project”, “International Activities” and “Strategic Development”.
As part of his duties, he is a permanent member of the Bank's Steering Committee.
In the past, he served on the Boards of several other subsidiaries (MPS Capital Services, MP Venture, Banca 121, Intermonte, Consorzio Operativo Montepaschi, MPS Immobiliare) and investee companies (Nomisma, Consorzio Bancomat, SI Holding, Cartasi, Iconcard, MP Venture, Antonveneta Assicurazioni, Antonveneta Vita and Consorzio Triveneto), and was Chairman of the Consorzio Operativo Montepaschi.
Before joining the Montepaschi Group, Mr. Calvanico provided strategic consulting services within McKinsey & Company's Financial Institutions sector and was responsible for training and professional development in Studio Ambrosetti.
