Elena De Simone

Elena De Simone has been an independent director of Banca Monte dei Paschi since December 2024 and currently serves as a member of the Remuneration Committee and the IT and Digitalisation Committee.

She holds a Law Degree from the University of Federico II Naples Federico II, specialising in Civil Law, and is a qualified lawyer. 

Since 2019, she has been Chairperson of the Board of Directors – with executive powers – of Domus Italia S.p.A. (formerly Vianini S.p.A.), where she previously served as CEO from 2016 to 2019. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Caltagirone S.p.A. and ICAL S.p.A..

From 2023 to 2024, she was CEO of Grandi Stazioni Immobiliare S.p.A., part of the Ferrovie dello Stato Group.

She has also been Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Credito Agricolo e Industriale S.p.A. (Delta Banking Group) and Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Sorgente Group S.p.A.
