Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena hereby informs that in connection with today’s press releases, concerning a possible partial demerger of a compendium formed, inter alia, by BMPS Group non performing loans, the transaction is currently under analysis and discussions with the competent authorities are in course. Following the informal approval by the European Commission, discussions with European Central Bank and Consob have been started with respect to the definition of the relevant regulatory steps to be completed before the commencement of the transaction. Finally, it is worth to point out that specific analysis are also in process pertaining the charachteristics of the compendium which, as of today, have not been completed.
