THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS RENEWS ITS FULL TRUST IN CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER LUIGI LOVAGLIO
WORKING GROUPS WITH MEDIOBANCA CONTINUE AT FULL SPEED, WITH THE AIM OF ACCELERATING INDUSTRIAL SYNERGIES AND VALUE CREATION
Siena, 5 December 2025 - The Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. (the “Bank” or “BMPS”), which met today under the chairpersonship of Nicola Maione, following an in-depth assessment, unanimously renewed its full trust in Chief Executive Officer Luigi Lovaglio, confirming his compliance with the requirements of correctness, pursuant to the provisions of Articles 4 and 5 of Italian Ministerial Decree 169/2020 and the ECB guidelines on bank executives.
With regard to the merger process between BMPS and Mediobanca, the Board of Directors highlights that the activities of the working groups, involving the professional resources of both banks, are continuing at full speed, with the aim of promptly achieving industrial synergies and accelerating growth and value creation.
