REVISION OF THE COMMITMENTS BETWEEN THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AND THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC PUBLISHED
OBJECTIVES CONSISTENT WITH THE STRATEGIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE 2022-2026 BUSINESS PLAN "A CLEAR AND SIMPLE COMMERCIAL BANK"
Siena, 3 October 2022 - Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena announces that today the European Commission has published the decision regarding the revision of the "Commitments" - available on the Authority's website - which had been undertaken by the Italian Republic in order to allow, pursuant to European Union and Italian legislations, the precautionary recapitalization of the Bank in 2017.
The revised Commitments are consistent with the objectives of the 2022-2026 Business Plan “A Clear and Simple Commercial Bank” approved on 23 June 2022.
The objectives presented in the decision of the European Commission, therefore, endorse the guidelines of the Industrial Plan 2022-2026, the implementation of which is underway and in line with the schedule.
