BoD of Banca Mps declares suspension of Mr Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone

The Board of Directors of Banca MPS has received communication from Mr. Caltagirone - letter of 2 November 2011 addressed to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Board of Auditors of the bank – as to voluntary suspension from his duties as Deputy Chairman and director of the bank with immediate effect.

At today’s meeting, the Board of Directors declared the suspension of Mr. Caltagirone pursuant to art. 6, paragraph 1, Regulation no. 161 / 18 March 1998 of the Italian Ministry of the Treasury, Budget and Economic Planning.
