BANCA MPS: MOODY’S UPGRADES STANDALONE RATING AND CHANGES OUTLOOK TO POSITIVE FROM NEGATIVE
Siena, 10 January 2020 – Banca Monte Paschi di Siena (“the Bank”) announces that Moody’s Investors Service (“Moody’s”) rating agency has revised the Bank’s ratings, upgrading its standalone rating to “b3” (from “caa1”).
The Bank’s long-term senior unsecured debt and deposit ratings were affirmed at “Caa1” and “B1” respectively and the outlook was improved from “negative” to “positive”.
Subordinated debt rating was upgraded to “Caa1” (from “Caa2”).
