Banca Antonveneta SpA merges into BMps

The deed of merger by absorption of Banca Antonveneta Spa into Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena Spa was signed on 23 April 2013 with effect as of 23:59 of 28 April 2013 for civil code purposes and as of 1 January 2013 for accounting and tax purposes.

The transaction follows on the resolutions adopted by the Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena Spa and the Shareholders of Banca Antonveneta Spa in their meetings of 28 March 2013.

A copy of the deed of merger by absorption, reporting the date of entry in the Companies' Registry, will be filed with the Supervisory Authorities under the regulatory terms pursuant to art.70 of the Issuer Regulations.
