Marco Tiezzi

Graduated in Economic Sciences from the Faculty of Economics and Banking of the University of Siena.

He began his career in 1990: after a short period in the Credit Department of Banca Etruria, he joined Banco di Roma, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the network, both in the retail and corporate sectors. From 2002 to 2008 he was Area Manager for Emilia Romagna, first in the Capitalia Group and then in Unicredit.

In 2008, he joined Barclays Bank as Area Manager Central-North and later as Regional Manager Central-South. He was also responsible for Mortgages and Loans for the whole country and was a member of the Strategic-Operational Committee Top Leader Western Europe.

In October 2014, he joined Banca MPS, where he assumed the role of Commercial Director for the areas of Lombardy South, Emilia Romagna and Marche, with responsibilities including the coordination of the Conditions, Products, Development and Middle Office Functions. As of 2018, he was Area Manager for the same areas. 
In 2020 he became General Manager of the North-West Regional Area, overseeing all branches and Corporate and Private Specialist Centres in Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta.
At the end of 2022, following the reorganisation of the Banca MPS network, he assumed the role of Regional Retail Director Retail for South-East Lombardy.

Mr. Tiezzi was appointed the Retail Chief Commercial Officer on 6 February 2024.

Throughout his career, he has attended numerous specialised courses in various fields (Business Management, Financial Statement Analysis and Management Control, Communication, Private Banking, Risk Management, Credit), and has been a member of the ABI Lombardy Regional Commission.

He is listed in the Single Register of Financial Advisors and is a member of the Board of Directors of Magazzini Generali di Mantova and Fondazione Banca Agricola Mantovana.
