Ettore Carneade

Degree in Political Science with International Economics from the University of Bari.
Mr. Carneade began his career in 1982 at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A., where he held various positions of increasing responsibility within the network until 2006.
Starting in 2006, he held a series of roles with growing responsibility within the General Management Division, including in the Affluent and Family Markets, Small Business Market, Retail and Network Division Staff Unit, and Coordination and Controls.
From December 2016 to September 2018, he was Head of Controls, Compliance and Claims, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Since October 2018, he has served as the Compliance Officer of the Parent Company and its subsidiaries (five companies until 2023, and currently Widiba and MPS Fiduciaria), reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Carneade served as a member of the Board of Directors of MPS Fiduciaria from 2014 until June 2018, and subsequently held the position of Deputy Chairman until October 2018. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Integra S.p.A. (a joint venture between MPS and Unicoop Firenze for the issuing of credit cards) between 2015 and 2018.
