Alessandro Giacometti

After graduating in Statistical and Economic Sciences, Mr. Giacometti gained significant experience in the banking sector for over 20 years as head of Organisation, Human Resources and Information Technology.
From 1991 to 1997, he worked for Andersen Consulting in increasingly complex management and process consulting roles for major Italian banks.
In 1998, he became responsible for the application development and management of IT platforms at Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze during the lira/euro migration phase and system migration for Y2K management.
In 2000 he took up the position of Head of Organisation at Banca Lombarda in Brescia.
In 2002, he joined the MPS Group as Head of Organisational Development to promote process integration between the Parent Company and subsidiary banks.
In 2008, he became Head of Antonveneta's Organisation, with the aim of integrating the models and processes of Banca Antonveneta into Banca MPS. He was later appointed the Head of Human Resources of Banca Antonveneta.
He returned to Siena in 2013 to take on the role of Head of Human Resources for the Group.
Prior to heading up the IT Division, he served as Digital Channel Development Manager for four years, where he was responsible for projects aimed at migrating customer operations to remote channels.
